What AEW needs is a men's trios title.
And a women's Tag title.

A trios championship is long overdue considering how many (too many) factions and stables in AEW. If another individual Men's championship is introduced, then I wouldn't pigeon -hole by weight-class (i.e. light/middle weight), but call it the International Championship. Although the competitors for the International Championship would primarily be those in the light/middle weight class, it would be best not to confine it to those weight classes, so that once in a while an International Champion may be someone outside of that weight class - like a Jeff Cobb or Minoru Suzuki. WCW's problem was they signed people to big money contracts and put them into the nWo to run the show. Had they not signed Hall, Nash, and Hogan to stupid amounts of money they would have been in better shape, those bigger stars played politics to keep the other talent lower on the card. Not sure who you are getting info from that AEW stars are complaining about signings, need to start citing your sources more often that way we can debate the sources credibility. AEW not signing people to exclusive contracts (as far I know) and allowing third party affiliates is smart because the talent can have other avenues of income that they aren't getting from the initial contracts.

Regardless of AEW signing ROH talent, they should still stick with seasoning their homegrown talent and continuing to have them grow and evole

honestly I dont see WWE picking any one from ROH now AEW should pick some one like jay lethal his work on impact was amazing his promo with rick flair was classic. The good thing about the wrestling business is that right now wrestlers have options AEW, IMPACT, MLW, GCW, New Japan, AAA, and other small independent promotions
