"'GPU Memory size used' is great because it will show us the GPU memory that is being used" -Jay. He always helps put things in layman's terms so I can follow along. Thanks Jay! (love you)

Appreciate the simple explanation for GPU Utilization at 18:20. I've heard people many times, friends included, talk about how their system is either running bad because the GPU is "maxed out at 100%, " or how theirs was running better because the GPU was "only needing to run at 60%." It's clear many people don't understand this point in particular.

You talked a decent amount about how it doesn't affect the performance all that much, so it would have been nice to see scores for a run with it on vs a run without it.

Scale is “dynamic” meaning it adjusts dynamically. A Logarithmic scale is different and it would take too long to explain succinctly, but useful for visualizing rate of change, like viral reproduction.

I tried the Beta of this program through an e-mail I forget why Intel sent me and fell in love with it. I put it straight on my "Tools" USB Stick. It's 1 of those programs I do a monthly check for updates to insure it's always got the latest features. It's really indepth for such a small program. It's just plain useful for a LOT of scenarios.

You can adjust the polling rate in msi afterburner as well config hwinfo to disable monitoring on alot of the sensors that is not needed

Thanks for this. It's a keeper. I just tested it with New World Aeternum. Now I have a little more insight in making it run more efficiently.

Honestly, how it's described by Jay really helps me understand where the bottlenecking would occur. Thanks Jay and PresentMon!

To me.. this is the best thing Jay does for the community. One place to come and get the run down on the best nerdy tools to ensure gamers know everything happening inside the pc... But, i digress. Cheers Jay!

Jay, have you considered importing this data into business intelligence software, such as Power BI? This could be used to present repeatable graphing with minimal work each time. You could also set up slicers to handle removal of outliers if thats ever useful. I work with Power BI and you could tag records by their source in a way that can give you nice overlays such as "4090 vs 5090". For example you could take output data from your different cards across the same times in the file and graph them over each other. Update the files with new outputs, hit refresh and see the results instantly. Best part, Power BI is free for how you'd like use the program.

I'd take a bet that you could reduce your admin time substantually once you had a good model set up. I could probably do a mockup for you in a few hours depending what the data looks like. I'm in Australia (UTC +10) but would be easy to demonstrate. Power BI is very user friendly (low skill floor but high skill ceiling like most MS Office products)

Love these vids where i actually learn something useful.

FYI, you can view cpu thread utilization in the task manager. Then you can see if the game is actually CPU limited, cause the cores/threads that are being utilized show as 100%, and the GPU will show as less than 95% (or whatever)

the link too that software wasn't in the description Jay

Thanks Jay! Always enjoy the software you show. The Riva stats through Afterburner kind of sucks, so your timing on this was perfect! About to do some before and after testing of ram.

Also i appreciate the hard work testing the older gpus on new methods.

It's definitely useful for some use cases, like checking for bottlenecking, but it's not an alternative to HWinfo or even Afterburner+Rivatuner. For example, it doesn't show CPU temperature.
