It's nature reminding us who owns the land

Back in the early 1970s I worked at a chalet in country South Australia, the chalet was and is part of a national park, the main road had a large number of creeks without bridges, when the area gets heavy rain it floods and these creeks get unpassable, this particular time we had a really heavy rain, it only rained for about 20 to 30 minutes, however it cut us all of for 11 days.
When I left I did so in a 4 wheel drive, the road was so muddy and slippery that the 4x4 was travelling almost side ways.
there was one car lost as far as I know, the people did get out safely.
I still live in South Australia, but now it is in the city.

the wind storms at the coast are the type you get new lawn furniture daily but these floods look like someone gets your house downstream. I can only think, elevation is our friend
