Elon Musk's Starlink satellite internet service is being touted as a rural internet game changer. But his goal to provide internet coverage to all areas around the globe could take tens of thousands of low-orbiting satellites.

WSJ spent time with a few beta testers in a remote part of Washington state to assess whether the SpaceX satellite internet service can truly be the solution to the global broadband gap.

Anyone complaining about the cost doesn’t understand what people pay now for Hughesnet and Viasat. $99 a month is an incredible deal. Also it’s pretty clear this video was shot before the latest firmware update which pushed speeds up near 300mbps.

Watching this on Starlink. While it occasionally loses connection, it is much better than any other option. I 100% recommend it. Great speed and super easy setup.
