I have no formal education but that's only because the Grateful Dead used to tour. Now that they're long retired I have a bit more free time to flail about in many advanced fields. What I've discovered is there are certain teachers that can make the most fascinating, mind blowing subjects as engaging as watching paint dry. Then there are teachers that can take a subject that, at first glance, has the appeal of eating mouthfuls of dirt, but after a few moments you realize you're gripped with increasing excitement.
