I remember paying over $3.00/gallon back when I lived in California. Now, living in Texas, gas is almost a negligible expense in by budget.
Growing up near San Diego, I remember gas hitting $5.00/gallon one summer, and then staying there for quite some time. Coming to Texas, that's unheard-of.
My last fill-up was 2 days ago, at $1.75/gallon. The highest I've paid in 2020 has been $2.19/gallon and I've averaged $1.77/gallon this whole year. God bless Texas!! :)

Bullcrap if you are figuring in the percentage of the cost that is tax and refining, marketing and you are explaining where the cost of each gallon goes it doesn't explain why a barrol of oil is $98 today and that produces 42 gallons of crude oil that makes 20 gallons of gas and 22 gallons of other stuff
You still are not even coming close to explaining why Calif is paying 5.89 a gallon of gas
And it only costs about 2.40 agallon to produce before tax . Then please explain the actual cost to produce a gallon of gas before mark ups and then add the markups so we can see the actual profits for every $ 5.89 gallon of gas that should t be costing more than about$ 275 a gallon ( I'm rounding up and horrible at numbers if I was good at math if know how many problems I have )
I'm still very confused as to why California Always pays a full dollar to 2 dollars more than average for rest of US . IT MAJES NO SENSE
