I have the 5-25x scope is ginormous but has everything you would need for prs. If you dont need the zooms, go with the 3-18x. I had to get 1.55” mounts to cycle action with enlarged bolt knob and a high scope base just to cycle action and have the scope fit. Perfect scope.

Personally I would choose an Arken over the lower end Vortex scopes.

I am actually saying that from personal experience with owning both a Vortex Diamondback tactical and an Arken EP5

The turrets in the vortex feel cheap, almost feel like plastic gears, where as the Arken has much more positive clicks and overall feel much more solid and well made.

Also the sight picture is much better in the Arken, where as the Vortex has tons of scope shadow and finding the spot where you get a clear picture with sharp edges is much easier and forgiving in the Arken.

Personally I would not recommend the Diamondback tactical for anything more than a 22 LR or similar, it really does not feel like a solid and well made scope.

For vortex I wouldn’t buy anything non- razor or viper, same for binoculars and spotting scopes
