That being said, I agree with your answer as far as if they're on the same planet or at least somewhat face to face. Give Vader the option of orbital bombardment, which is well known to be within his wheel house. Let alone a Death Star perhaps? Now of course Magneto could fly up there and crush the Death star into a foil ball as well but would he really have any reason or business being up there? Unless Vader parked near Asteroid M

I don't know very much about Magneto, it's been ages since I've even watched X-Men, so I don't know his feats compared to Vader. I do have some knowledge on Vader though. Depending on prior knowledge to Magneto's location and surroundings, along with being close enough in proximity (which I don't necessarily know how close that has to be. I personally think it depends more on how well a force user can feel an connect to the victim and their surroundings than on distance given they are powerful enough, but I'm not positive) Vader could just choke out Magneto, and although it isn't seen in the movies, I don't think it is much of a stretch to assume that Vader could go as far as to rip his targets into pieces with the force, or crush them. And even if Vader is unable to directly affect Magneto (which I am not entirely sure about, because even if Magneto can prevent regular telekinesis, the force isn't just grabbing objects with your mind, it is manipulating the universe binding ever present force that surrounds us and penetrates us. It might just be blocked the same way as telekinesis, but it also might not) he could still manipulate the terrain around Magneto (given the terrain is not made of metal, because then it would be pretty useless), still while being a distance away from him. Speed wise, as I said I know almost nothing of Magneto, but I know that Vader is said to move faster than the human eye can keep up with if he chooses. Should Magneto use his powers to shut Vader's suit off, it is seen in comics that he is able to last without it's life support systems for a reasonable amount of time. And if Magneto were to try and crush Vader's suit, is it possible that Vader would be able to negate Magneto's attempts using the force? And again, I know near nothing about Magneto, but is it possible that Vader could render himself immune to Magneto's abilities via the force, just as Magneto can resist telekinesis? I would love to hear your thoughts on all this, especially from someone who knows more about Magneto than I do!

The force is not regular telepathy
With the force Vader controls the space around magneto neck and crush it
(There’s canon comics of Vader without is suit completely naked and without help using the force to create limbs for himself in his most vulnerable state to kill some super dark troopers droids able to kill effortlessly the best soldiers in the entire empire (Vader guards if we are specific)
Magneto tends to be overconfident and ignore is surroundings thinking he won
Vader can kill him in the stop or survive long enough thank to him having also broken mental powers that protects him like every Jedi in Star Wars and attack with his weapon for behind

Vader has breached shields with the force as well as use way more hax. And you've never read a single vader comic if you think vader can't survive without his suit.

The only thing you’re missing, there is the fact that magneto has also the ability to manipulate electricity so any kind of electrical effect that magneto produces, including his force field that he flies around in would fuck Vader from the beginning the whole thing about your suit you need to read more about Sith alchemy before you go any further there another thing, and this is straight up out the box Vader can exist without breathing does so a number of different times without the light support of his own suit he can handle for at least 20 hours without his suit has been left destitute on a planet with a suit destroyed within a volcanic Atmospheretwice by CITIUS

Other force users could rip apart Vader's suit just as easily if not for force walls force users use in fights. How is blocking physical manipulation via the force different than blocking physical manipulation via magnetism? Also Vader has manually flown through light speed. Not saying he can move at light speed, but he can certainly process light speed and with pre cog from the force I don't see Magneto's speed being that much of an issue.

And as far as the telepathy goes, that’s not Vader, strong suit pound for pound Vader can lift and move more than magneto can and he can do it in space all has to do is throw magneto outside the planet. And if you can pick up a star destroyer and chuck it, you can throw magneto around no magnet no Magnus fear no magneto

And 90% of how a Jedi duel works is reading the other person through the force so his response to what magneto is going to do is already known before Vader gets to the fight so you imagine for a second that somebody is in Platt steel which is plastic carbonwalks up on you and already knows all of your actions and he’s a master to do list. magneto doesn’t even have a talent with a weapon. All he has is his powers. Vader is a master technician. Magneto is a mechanic fax.

You better off, putting someone like King, the conqueror or even Thanos against Vader the man has survived reentry without a ship can walk through lava so and summon up void beast that are the size of a moon in some cases
