I just sold a 1958 641L ford Workmaster tractor with excellent compression.  I replaced it with a NH Workmaster 33 or 33 horsepower. That new diesel tractor with loader is much heavier than the fully  weighted old 641. I run the same attachments and when I use the Brush hog the new turbo diesel never even strains. The old 641 was rated at 48 horsepower and the new one 33. I used the older one even as a kid in OK on the grandparents farm and it never had the power of the new one. A 641 was a 3 bottom plow tractor so I would say any 25 horse tractor being a little turbo diesel would pull it, you might have to go to an auction and score some rusty wheel weights and get some heavy all thread and make some adapters but it would pull it especially a shuttle or hydrostat that we have today that are infinitely adjustable, always have the right gear. If you have a loader you might have some weight in it too.

It wouldn’t hurt to try, but the best plow for a B series tractor is our ETA compact plow. Thanks for watching!

Wow I didn't realize that they were using plows that small today. At the time of my retirement I used 16 and 18 inch plows and four and five bottoms.
But I really prefer a chisel plow.

Good job and thanks for sharing. I have a smaller hydrostatic Kubota . I took one plow off to make it easier to plow. my coulter is set just ahead of the point. If i had a bigger tractor i would go deeper. My double plow is about 40 yrs old and very heavy duty not like the new wimpy ones that are sold today.

I grew up as "Peanut" for my dad. I bought an old Ford recently and realized how much help I was just hooking the thing up.

it made me laugh a little to see that kubota slip little, I pull a 2 bottom with an wore out 140 with a set of wheel weights, good to see the youngsters getting back to their roots.

you need sway chains on the 3 point hith to keep the plow inline with your right wheel so it doesn't leave any unplowed dirt between passes

Hey Ted, I notice that you did not remove the stabilizers from your tractor. A plow it supposed to be able to float side to side. that is why the tractor is spinning with the small plow behind it and why as you can see in the video the driver is having to keep the front wheel pulling the front around back into the furrow way.
Other than that good video the rest is correct.

Thanks, just getting ready to plow the garden and this video will help getting it adjusted !

The coulters need to be set another couple inches to the left, the paint needs to be scrubbed off the moldboards, and the tractor needs fluid added to the rear tires.

A few smart whacks with a hammer should free the drift arm from the attachment. Tap right, tap left, tap up, tap down should work it loose. Been on the farm most of my life...

Cheers to all!
