I do love that these engineers are clearly the best of the best, hand-picked for the single most important run in railroading, and they demonstrate their extreme skill in getting the train onto the tracks, at speed, from a dead stop on solid ice. They are truly the Blue Angels of locomotive driving

The real mvp in this movie is the train for defying the laws of physics in that scene and not just rocketing into the sky and diving into the ice lake from the sheer momentum that tank of a train had going back up that massive incline.

Imagine how horrifyingly it would be for those kids to be right in front of the engine's screaming mouth while going downhill. If there's a singular bump on those rails they're gonna be engine food

Somehting I liked about the movie is that instead of only focusing on the ride inside the coach they world build it. Like for example have a couple scenes showing the engine since they knew railfans would love it. Plus I liked that they made one of the cars have a scene to itself so it’s not an object that’s just part of a train and gets a Mini storyline to itself
