Why are non Muslims not allowed to enter Makkah?

It is current practice for non-Muslims to not be permitted to enter the city of Makkah in Saudi Arabia where pilgrims gather at any time of the year. Some believe this is because Muslims do not wish to expose satanic acts to others or because secret rituals take place, or because Muslims are intolerant and supremacist in their beliefs. This video examines what the position of the various Islamic schools of thought are on non-Muslims entering Makkah, and the reasons for their views as well as historical evidence.

It's kind of sad that they don't allow non-muslims to see Mecca. I'm not religious myself, but I would love to see Mecca and experience its culture.

I dont understand with the non muslims who are complaining saying that we cannot go to Makkah cos Islam is racist like wutt?? I mean in the first place why do you want to go thr even its a mosque and mainly a place to pray and devote yourself to Allah not a vacation or happy amusement areasss. I don't even want to go to Vatican cos i respect the Christians or Catholics to pray and devote themselves to God. I mean in make sense to ban those who are not of that religion to enter main sites of religious area for religious purposes so not to disrespect that area as a place to take lots of picture or having fun.

This is so bad .. I’m sikh n gurdware sahib is open for all the religion.. they can pray there, can do seva, can participate in all events ! This is really rude !

As a Muslim I wouldn't do the rituals while some one specially non muslims who don't believe of islam visits the place like tourist place ....it will.lose its spirituality ...it is a place of worship one God .Allah swt that is exclusive for believers ...to do worship ...visiting a place of worship is not like visiting to see pyramids for example ...purpose is different...but at least you cant watch through media its tool for curious people.

instead of answering using the opinions of the modern madhabi scholars, look to the quran and sunnah. The prophet ordered all disbelievers out of Mecca and Madinah.

As Christian i think it is totally wrong to put conditions to enter in God's house. This is because in my country everybody can access it, muslims, of course Christians, Hebrew, Sikh, any culture can visit respectfully the holy Church, even Vatican. I think it's stupid to ban people to do so.

So my question is.. Is Allah only for Muslims? Didn't Allah create non. muslims? Will the prayers of Nonmuslims be rejected by Allah just because ur a Nonmuslim? Absolute Rubbish! God hears everyone's prayers who is good hearted and who does good to his fellowbeing! And u don't allow people to go to the holy place where Abraham workshiped god just because they aren't converted to the religion you want them to be. Abraham being the father of many religions( christianity, Judiasm, Islam) how can you say the place where Abraham workshiped god is just ours to pray!?

Because you dont go to someone's house, whom you hate and reject. It is the house of Allah and it needs entry ticket. And the ticket is, LA ILLAHA ILLALLAH.MUHAMMAD ARR RASOOL ALLAH.

The answer is because the true religion is islam, islam will safe u, when the judgement day (end of the world) comes, there is no place on earth would be safe except Mecca and Medina, and no one can enter those place unless they are muslim. So convert to islam, and you'll be saved.

In ancient times people of other faiths visited Mecca.
Journey of 15th Century great humanist and founder of Sikh Faith to Mecca:
When I went to the Kabbah at Mecca Sharrif I was resting. From there a Kaddam (Moluvi/priest) came to me running and with raging anger and said " O Fakir move your feet away from the Kabbah and sit properly". I said with patience, humbly "Why talk in so much anger (rudely) to tell me for what I have done". After saying this I started to move my feet, whereever I moved my feet the Kabbah sharrif's door moved. That kaddam/qaddam (priest) after seeing such a miracle was suprised and asked for forgiveness. In such the priest's knowledge was enlightened and he kissed my (Guru Nanak's) hands and for his rudeness and asked for forgiveness. Everything that occured was due to Allah's great given utmost mercy and grace.
