thank you for caring enough to pour this positive energy and truth about what it takes to become successful as a massage therapist. This is my second time around but first time actually stepping out on my own. I have been on the fence, not knowing what direction to go in to build. I see the marriage between being good as a therapist and good at business. I feel encouraged. I feel the desire to commit and define what it means to be a health leader in this field. Thankyou ! Im finishing doing my diploma in remedial massage therapy in dec 19. Feeling a bit daunted at getting out there . Ideally i want to have a clinic with other therapists but not a clue yet on how to get started. Each one of the therapists at my clinic make around $5, 500 a month. Our clinic is in a high traffic area, and we are all independent contractors. On average, we each work around 20 hours a week. Bottom line is there's no secret to being successful. Either you suck at your job, or you don't. If you aren't good at business or marketing you probably won't be a successful massage therapist. You need to be able to sell yourself. If you can't just find a different career. It's that simple.
