This actually reminded me of a quest line in The Witcher 3. Geralt had to track down a succubus, only to find that the succubus wasn't killing anyone and all the men of the town (and even some of the women) had no problem with her, other than being exhausted all the time. Geralt's rule as a Witcher is he only outright kills monsters, and he considers monsters to be "anything that can't be reasoned with", so the "canon" option is considered to be letting her live in peace, but moving her outside of the city limits for her own safety.
