I am pleasantly surprised at how much I remember. Nearly every phrase I guessed before the english translation was given. Some of the vocab is not there (only one crying out to me atm is medicine) but the sentence structure makes much more sense.

To anyone who reads this who is just starting. I have been working through the japanesepod101/innovative language learning Japanese audiobooks for the last several months, along with genki, RTK, and loads of youtube, anime, godzilla, and games like persona (although plenty of games with western settings have also proven useful as many of them use japanese signage) and let me tell you, YOU CAN DO IT.

If the passion is there, the respect, and the love for the culture, you will go far. Also, I personally feel anki is overrated, but if it works for you, use it! I do my cards by hand and review on my breaks at work. Good luck! The power is within you! また会おう!

Hi Eugene, thanks for putting together these podcast series (Hokkien, Cantonese and Teochew). However there are some vital elements missing and these are: you failed to include the proper romanized spelling of the words; you also did not include the relevant characters for the words you used. I have no problem with the Cantonese version because I speak both Mandarin and Cantonese. However, I know very little of Hokkien and Teochew. These other dialects are not 100% compatible with Mandarin or Cantonese regarding the use of some characters. I hope you consider these points in your future podcasts/videos. 多谢.
