Good news everyone, according to my Sony support chat, the 2022 TV's are also compatible with the older remotes that still have the number keys. So you won't be severely limited by the newer remote if you watch live tv or don't want to lose convenience/functionality of losing the number pad

I just bought a 2022 sony oled 77" with the new remote and I have comcast as a provider. I've worked out how to record a show by going to the program listing but how do I get to watch the recording. Which buttons on the new remote do I press to get to see the recordings. A sleaker less button remote is all well and good but there are no instructions on how to use it - everything is by trial and error.

I understand streamlining the remotes and reducing the buttons but on the premium remote you didn't include a Stop button. And yes, before anyone pipes up, I do need one, for use with recorded stuff and stuff on my Shield.

Can i buy the aluminum remote separately? I have a Sony 2020 android tv and I never use a bunch of buttons including the keypad. The new remote looks better imo.
