Yeah, because putting an internet connected camera under the total control of a cooperation that has a commercial interested in your data in your house was and is always a good idea. And will totally not be misused for advertising and DRM bs (like the time Microsoft had a patent for the Kinect to count and bill you on the number of persons watching a movie)

It would make sense if Sony played nice with other non Sony soundbars or system. I have a Sonos arc and a90j and it struggles with dialogues delivery. So having a newer Gen with cam isn’t going to change anything.

Imagine you're watching a tv (alone) with bravia cam and suddenly adjusted the tv brightness on its own, without a person standing in front of it.

The gesture control is really cool, but I really wonder how they implemented it in such a slim device. Kinect had trouble with gestures, it was also enormous and required many computational power, but the idea of controlling devices with just your hand is very cool and deserves more attention. Sony, you have a hugely impressive catalogue of technology that I use and will continue to use...however this just seems so tone-deaf in today's hyper privacy-aware consumer market. Not a chance I'm sticking a camera on top of my TV.
