Will and Brandon, huge props to both of you on this phenomenal video. The writing, b-roll, and editing are all on-point as usual. Will is absolutely right that the aluminum weight pins are not extremely impactful to the overall balance. The Zippy mod is an awesome option but for those who want a more classic look, I highly recommend swapping out the aluminum pins for the titanium weight pins used in the Tsunami as they were designed to be cross compatible. -Lucas

i feel like it's common w/ balisongs for every new knife to be reviewed from the standpoint of "I spent $400 and expected an upgrade in performance" vs. "I spent $400 for something uniquely cool" which are both valid thought processes and approaches, but fundamentally differ in terms of how you'll end up reviewing something.

I have been out of this hobby and scene for quite a while now. When I was fully into balisongs last the kraken was new. What's the current landscape like, because my favorite knives all seem way outdated. Shit like a gdok ex10, pale bc, Replicant, alpha beast, or ti bas. How do these old knives compare now and does anyone know where I can find a good overview of the current balisong economy. I bought an ldy orion v1-5 because that seems way to good for the price but what else is out there that I've missed

Before y’all review the sasori plz add some zippy mods, I myself added the spacers and only put one ball weight in each and that makes it’s lighter on the handle it made the flipping experience way better especially with the blade modes too

I got a zirblast one and the grip feels great. I do agree about the weight pins issue tho. Aluminum pins was a weird choice, but if you buy 2 sets of tsunami weights on squids website, it really improves how the kraken flips. I really like my kraken now with those ti weights

If you reALLy want to mess around with heavier weights in the handles, you can use steel and/or Ti pins of the same dimension.
