The iPad getting MacOS is the only thing I can imagine that would actually drive iPad sales... can't think of any reason why anyone would need anything more than an M1 iPad Pro at the moment and even so M1 is overkill

My guess is they'll just spec bump it to M3 with OLED and shrink the bezels and call it a day. The price will go up as well and base storage will remain the same at 128GB.

Highly doubt they'll put MacOS in Ultra. What most likely happens is: M3, OLED and new aluminum keyboard-case will be the only differential factor from normal Pro. Apple will tell the usual BS marketing about how it is a laptop replacement, then ship it with standard iPadOS.

I've been seeing this rumor a lot and I just can't believe it. Having the iPad Pro 11" start at 1499$ is insane. It wouldn't even fit in their current pricing ladder for the rest of the iPads. I agree that maybe the rumors are about an iPad Ultra and the Pros will mostly get 100 or 200$ more expensive or like you said the 1500$ include the keyboard and maybe Pen

The iPad Ultra with MacOS titles always get me to click. I would not have a problem with the price purchasing a 14 inch iPad Ultra if it had complete MacOS and iPad OS capability where I can do everything a hybrid iPad Pro and Macbook can do. Actually, if that doesn't happen I will be sticking with my 2018 12.9 inch iPad Pro for a few more years. It would be no point to upgrade.

I would get that iPad Ultra with MacOS on day one. Exactly what I have been wanting, a really portable MacBook with touch screen and all the iPad capabilities to do the work of both devices on the go. As a business user the price is fine for such a useful device.

This actually sounds very exciting. I don’t know if I can stomach the price given that I have an M2 iPad Pro and M2 Max MBP as my daily drivers. But for those looking to get into the ecosystem, and iPadOS/macOS dual booting iPad would be a great way to get a multifaceted computer from Apple.

I would love to see MacOS on the iPad, but for those reported price increases, I’m hoping they include the Magic Keyboard with it as a part of that price point. Especially if it’s required to use all the features of the OS.

How about like on the Mac you can run iPad apps in Mac OS (if the developer allow it), on the next generation iPad Pro you can run Mac apps within iPad OS?

I've never noticed any halo. Certainly NOT annoying. He makes it sound terrible. I'm satisfied with my iPad pro mini led. If Oled is just better then great.
