What she’s talking about is true I currently have an open bite never heard about it before due to tongue 👅 thrust until I was.47 didn’t even realise that it was an habit until I went to a dentist about what I can do to my front teeth 🦷 and he mentioned an Othodontist which I never heard before as I had spent 25 year on my life in Africa where your self esteem is tore down constantly for having an open bite . I currently live in the UK and irs soo hard to raise £4, 000 . the consequences of having and open bite as a result of tongue 👅 thrust is it destroys and shatters your self esteem, it brings about delays in marriages u can’t participate in doing Instagram live when u talk in a setting say like a restaurant you’re spitting all over the place meaning people don’t want to hang with u . It affects you been employed during an interview which may bring about long time jobless . Have been through it all still no relationship. Simply because of one deadly pacifier that I have no control over as an infant 👶. I was born in the uk but taken to Nigeria 🇳🇬 when I was five where I was bullied in every way imaginable because of my open bite . I don’t which this dental deformity on any one . I’m currently still struggle on how to rise this money required, how going to todo it, I have no idea

Hi! I have been sucking on my tongue all of my life and I am now 18😔 I don’t have an underbite neither a lisp but I do feel like my tongue are more against my teeth. Should I get a tongue crib and does it hurt? I really want to stop but its hard its the only thing that brings me comfort

Also, there's some sort of, Teeth Gate that is an appliance that goes behind the teeth that's supposed to help keep u from pushing ur tongue forward...I think I want one of those!

I have it. And I have a crossbite...I.m older & what happens after you get older, you kick your teeth forward. My tongue rests between my teeth.
I wore braces twice and make sure to wear a retainer.
I.ve been thinking of jaw surgery but I may not!😔

Quad helix expander is attached to my upper jaw to expand upper jaw to solve cross bite problem....
Dentists said, i need to 2 teeth extraction for solving open bite correction....

Hi, how young can you start beginning exercises for tongue thrust? Is three too early? And would it be preferable to work on stopping thumb sucking first before exercises or can it be done despite thumb sucking? My son projects his tongue forward when speaking, has trouble with certain sounds like s and z due to his tongue being forward of his teeth whilst making the sound. He is developing an open bite also. Thanks!

hello My son is 11 yrs old, he has a pretty severe underbite. It is just now accrued to me that he may have been tongue thrusting ever since he has been a baby. He has a habit of falling asleep thrusting his tongue back and forth, almost sucking on his tongue. No dentist ever asked me about it. May question is at his age what can be done to fix his underbite? Right now our ortho is saying surgery is the only option. I would really like to try and fix it without surgery, starting now. thank you
