This movie makes the movie 'Gravity' seem like a Friday night TV show...when everybody is out having fun

Dude... In all honesty, this is the best you tube review I've seen of the movie. I think you're right in almost everything you say and I share my thoughts and opinion with yours. I've been following your channel for more than 3 years now, and It is a great surprise for me to see that you took the movie seriously, you went through it, you understand it, and above all that you weren't lazy about it like others you tube reviewers did. For me the movie is a big challenging master piece, Nolan's best, the last act of it prowls into more artsy and visionary film making, and maybe that's why mainstream audiences are not digging it. But as you said: that's exactly what a good film should do, to throw some complex ideas to the audience. That's why I felt so disappointed of others you tube reviewers that just said: "Oh I was lost" "Oh, too complex for its own good". But you know, I had a hunch you were going to like it and assess it for what it really is and I'm glad you did it. Keep up with the good work.

No mention of the soundtrack? I thought the score was one of the most outstanding aspects of this movie.

Fantastic review John. Been seeing lots of mixed feedback so it's nice to hear another critic enjoy the movie almost as much as I did! Completely agree with your points on the "robots"... added some nice light-hearted moments to an otherwise very serious story.

Keep up the great work :-)

I've watched Interstellar yesterday, and boy was it ever fantastic. The acting, story, character development, pacing, emotional scenes and the soundtracks were just absolutely phenomenal while watching the movie. It kept me on the edge of my seat at times, blew me away and their were definitely some surprises but not a lot, at the end I was in complete shock because it all made sense to me. Thanks Nolan, you really did put something into a big surprise for many people and I that all of us I don't think we expected.

Great movie, great soundtracks and definitely one of the best movies ever I'd put in my list for 2014 right at the top of #1.

To be honest, I didn't really care about Anne Hathaway but did for the black guy (sorry, don't know his name).

chris nolan is my favorite director and he should have gotten an oscar by now. all his movies are incredible, critically successful and regardless of criticism people have for TDKR his filmography is impeccable. he is that good and one the best directors at the moment, he can do anything and in the future he will be in the company of spielberg and scorsese. his movies send a message about society and problems we face as people. his movies are genius like he is and in my memory he will always be tied with batman, what he did for and with that character is incredible, he used his symbol and transcended genres with him, i am gonna miss him behind the helm of the greatest character ever created. i cant wait to see this movie because of nolan, special effects and the amazing cast nolan put together and i heard interstellar is getting good reviews but not great, still its nolan and 3 hours in cinema i will remember forever! to all the people that complain about the movie dont understand nolan's vision because he is visionary and a genius
he is the godfather of batman and IN NOLAN WE BELIEVE!

Well, it's not exactly a "space exploration" movie but I gotta mention CONTACT-- also starring Matthew McConaughey. That was the only movie I watched, left the theater last, walked to the box office, bought another ticket, and walked right back into the theater again. I was so blown away I had to take it in again to fully digest it.

I'm just so mad right now! UHHH It was such a good movie, but I didn't like it personally because I went in thinking I was going to see them find aliens and God and stuff, like origins of mankind kinda stuff. But whatever It was a solid movie and brilliant, but I just wanted a different story I guess haha.

Interstellar finished something that Gravity began and now things will never be the same ever again.

Where do people get the idea that the film is not being liked  from? Yes, not every critic is gining it a 10 or A, but it happend with these type of films. It actually has a very good average rate everywhere and some critics are loving it (John for example). Also, it is having great success all over the world for a movie which is 3 hours long (not appealing to the masses in general). So all in all, I think Interstellar is doing great. i wish we could have more original blockbusters with depth like this one. Best ones this year: Interstellar, Edge of tomorrow and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. All of the comic book movies are palling in comparison. I just hope the new Hunger Games is a great blockbuster like Catching fire was.

I think my expectations were so high for this movie that when I walked out of the theatre I wasn't fully satisfied. But after thinking about this movie for a few days I realize how great it really is despite some flaws. Not my favorite Nolan film or the best of 2014 for me but still really good. Nolan is brilliant, inception is my favorite still....really good review.
