I don't understand how they're so picky but almost everything in their stores looks overly worn and beat up, especially their shoes

Take a shot every time she says “harder for us to sell”

I guess this was uploaded before crop tops were popular XD

“It’s showing a little wear so I’m gonna have to pass”

Plato’s Closet is a THRIFT store, they want to take your expensive items for nothing. They tried to steal my $200 loafers for $3.

So basically y'all buy like 1% of people's clothes. People have a better chance at a garage sale.

I'll save you all 6:33, Plato's closet will only take expensive designer clothes in New condition from within the past 2 years and they will pay you about $0.70 per item.

They have to be picky, because what they buy goes into their store. The whole point of buying clothes from people is so they can resale it in their store for consumers to purchase. If something is out of style, faded, damaged or ruined nobody is going to buy it, then it's just going to sit there. The whole point is so they can make profit.

I'd rather give my clothes to good will cause at least they are thankful for the brand names and for the donation. I was very displeased with the service and the clothes you guys did offer.

half of those clothes i see on their racks. faded, shrunk or a tiny rip in them. shrunk shirts are eye candy for the kids cause they actually can try something on and like it if ot fits yk. not to mention shoes. someone might be colecting nikes, but if you see them a tiny bit worn you say no. bjt when you walk around some of the stores they have worn shoes and heels.

About a year ago I went into Plato's Closet and tried selling name brand clothes (Roxy, Bilabong, Hollister) which were in excellent condition but they accepted nothing. I asked for the reason and was told "Oh, we only want the very latest and greatest fashions that are at the mall and within the last 6 months". Okay, I don't see very many people buying the "latest fashions at the mall" at FULL-PRICE then turning around and selling it at a VERY steep discount to Plato's Closet. Why would anyone in their right mind do that when so many places have lax return policies and someone could get their FULL money back?? The only reason I can come up with is that unless people are STEALING the "latest fashions at the mall" so that they can turn any sort of profit from Plato's Closet I really don't see how this place stays in business. Plato's Closet probably does not even realize how much of their product could be stolen merchandise LMAO. All I can say is that I'll never do business again with PC.
