I think it is completely possible that it's just Katie's personality and being uncomfortable in front of cameras. I think her apathetic response to winning immunity is actually very close to how someone very awkward would behave when in the spotlight on camera. Just my thoughts!

I know many people like Katie. They’re just quiet. I think we want them to show emotion in they way we feel/express it. I also think that that’s extremely unfair. She’s tangentially related to survivor. She is on the show because of her mom. She also can’t help the way she is.

Courtney never actually wanted to play. She literally just submitted an application in just “as a joke” and she assumed that they would never actually pick her.

But when she did, she decided to play along to see how far she can go in the interview process. Again, assuming that they’ll never actually cast her.

When she was actually picked, she decided to play along, again assuming that her tribe mates would immediately boot her off first and she would basically get a free vacation.

And yet SOMEHOW, she is one of the most beloved and memorable female runner-ups in Survivor history.

As someone who doesn't get overly excited in general, I think I'd be the same way as Katie.

Disagree with Katie being on this list, especially this high and especially above Julie. Imo she is just really calm (look at the immunity challenge that she won), quiet person who doesn't get overexcited too easily (unlike most of the players from modern era). She was also probably the least colorful player from the merge and I believe, because of that, she also received poor edit (I think it was even confirmed by some of other castawayas from that season).
I'm not saying that she is some kind of mastermind or great player overall and maybe she struggled with playing sometimes (the fact, that she spent most of her time at the bottom probably didn't help her game), but to call her apathetic is a bit harsh. I think she wanted to be there more than some of the other players not included on that list, f. ex. Laura B from the same season...

I really wish you would’ve given Randy from Heroes vs villains an honorable mention. Him basically giving up on day 9 is really what saved Parvati from being the 1st boot potentially AGAIN and making it to day 39 AGAIN.
