If sunfyre is actually dead it would change the whole story, actually disgusting if they decide to do it.

They even say in game of thrones that Rhaynera was eaten by her brothers dragon so this has to happen in the HOTD series otherwise it’s hugely changing the story.

unless they want to break show canon, they physically HAVE to feed rhaenyra to one of her brothers dragons. if sunfyre is genuinely dead then they’ll have to use daeron and tessarion or aemond and vhagar, which means they’ll screw up the timeline and stuff but since HOTD is a GOT spin-off they’re going to have to make sure that joffreys line doesn’t contradict the story

I wish all the dragons got together and said Nope, war is not for us. We are going to perish if we let these little nobodies manhandle us and we should just let the humans deal with it themselves. Then they fly into the sunset that would be hard for people to get to where they could be at peace. Dragons are so beautiful and magical and hard to replace. Most of the people on the show can easily be replaced. I miss Viserys but I hate the way he left things after his passing....

Sunfire is not dead. In GOT jofree told queen Margeri that Egons dregon burned Raynira alive and ate her while her son watched

Why is everyone acting like the writers are gonna completely retcon this? Everyone thought Sunfyre was dead or not longed to live for long, it was a massive surprise to everyone when he showed up again at dragonstone despite it all. Aegon probably thinks his dragon is dead because he personally witnessed what happened to Sunfyre and also couldn't remember a lot of the battle. With how much of a rough state he was left in I don't blame him for assuming the worst for his dragon.
Plus if you think about where Sunfyre is, not far from dragonstone, then the people looking after him are probably trying to keep him as hidden as possible so the Blacks don't try to off him. So it might be considered too dangerous to send any progress reports about how the dragon is doing if it risks discovery.

Also with Aemond in charge he probably doesn't care enough about Sunfyre to receive progress reports and subsequently give Aegon updates on how it's doing. Aemond had Vhagar, which for the longest time he considered as the only dragon that the Greens would need in the war. Why would he want to know about a dying dragon that is no use to him? Time better spent hearing progress reports that have more worthwhile news. We saw how he treated Larys, he only cares for news he deems important and a dying dragon isn't important.

In my opinion he's not dead. Cristin Cole said he left a guard of soldiers to protect him in episode 7. And Cole hasn't seen aegon since then. Aegon just thinks he's dead, but no one has told him yet that he's still alive. Plus it'd be the worst choice to kill sunfyre off since he does play a pivotal role later.

If sunfyre is alive rhenerya will probably walk out if dragon fire dany style and command sunfyre to burn aegon and the drgaon recognizing her girl bossness will obey only to choke on his on cringe.
Then alicent will poison her own son for her bestie.
That is how these writers will end it

As for the final episode
This was boring, obviously ran out of cash since they have no idea how to budget.
Alicent as a character is ruined.
Corlys is now worst dad ever.
There is no team green to hate anymore.
There is no only team good guys vs aemond the pyscho.😂

As for early seasons of GOT was about dialogue yes but the doalogue was good and had a point😂
