Happy Belated birthday!!! I love that little whale shark… he’s adorable!! Glad you were able to resolve the buzzing issue. Wouldn’t want you to quit You Tube!!! 😉

The feeling you get when hours of troubleshooting pays off is so gratifying. Great video! Thanks for the continued entertainment! Also, loving my shirt from the channel!

Outstanding! Really glad you got it working. All of these old systems need love, attention, and upgrades like this. I have been there, too, tearing my hair out for days when the solution is straightforward but somehow not obvious. Thanks for the mention. :)

I, for one, am looking forward to more "Taylor's Troubshooting" videos. A mid-show wardrobe change means the 8-bit got real. ;) Good job guys!

What a great little machine. I feel your frustration and your elation when it finally comes good. Great job and well done to you both. Never surrender 👍
Yep, its an original Cylon (©™) on the PCB.

Thank you. Again, thank you for sharing your problem and the frustration you felt. We have all been there.Anyone claiming otherwise is either a liar or a fool who hasn’t tried anything. W00T!

Glad it all works! I have been wanting one of those mods for a while, now I know the first thing to check when I finally get one and it doesn't work 😆

It would of been the simplest thing that you would not thought of. Good to see it worked when you swaped the cables round though.

This reminds me why hardware is my definitive bogey Team...

I've had the same happen to me at work on a few occasions. Hours if not days of troubleshooting, and at one point: "WHAT? That was it?" Contrary to other people, I find this moment to be very anticlimactic. Somehow, I wished I had uncovered something big, but it was just me being dumb instead... I guess I just like problem solving and I find it disappointing when there was no real problem to start with. Speaking of loving to troubleshoot, I would have really enjoyed if you would have had some footage of the oscilloscope action.

You *were* doing a composite mod. Note to future self: Maybe the composite cables aren't the ones you think (if memory serves this isn't the first time). Mad scientist laugh...

LOL, I knew what happened immediately because I recognized the sound.

It so humbling when stuff like that happens. Glad you got it figured out.

Also, your mini screwdriver sounds way too much like a dental drill. Enough to make me squirm a bit lol.

I must say very dramatic video. I looked away (cause I'm supposed to be working) and came back to some kind of crisis playing out in closed caption. Wow! Caper solved!

So frustrating for you till the moment of success! Whenever I have a problem where the solution appears trivial — but only after hours of looking at everything else — I feel both super released and also want to kick myself.

That would mean the cable out is configured in a non-standard way.
