Windows Vista currently has 0.14% of the operating system marketshare, but why? Is Windows Vista still usable in 2020, 14 years after it was released in 2006? Lets find out!

I think it's still the best-looking version of Windows.

I did make some mistakes in this video: Vista can support web browsers newer than the version I used, meaning you can use most modern webapps on Vista. 3D flip was also featured in Windows 7, not just Vista.

Windows Vista Sucks but Windows Vista with service packs is not that bad, and it doesn't deserve that a lot of hate.

My first laptop was vista and I used it until a year after end of support. Never had any problems with it. Absolutely love it to this day. Would still be using it if it wasn’t so unusable nowadays

Ppfft of course you can, I use it as my main operating system with no issues whatsoever. But the fan broke so a new one should be coming either this week or next week. I got the computer from my great grandfather which he bought before my time. It still works even in 2020.

I remember the launch of Vista like it happened yesterday, crazy we're talking about it like some prehistoric relic.

If someone wants to use windows vista (like me) here are some things to look into:
Get the latest service pack
Install the third party extended kernel for vista, it can open most modern apps and it highly useful
And enjoy a better operating system than the current windows 10 and windows 11 (upcoming, requires way too much system resources o.o)

I think vista is the most beautiful Windows yet

My grandpa still uses Windows Vista as his main PC, just use Firefox for the internet.

Its actually not that bad, & we can play Minecraft multiplayer on it when we go over to his house

So far for the most compatible web experience I recommend the Basilisk or even more the Pale Moon browser. With an earlier version of Chrome and with Firefox I am having issues with some sites. And I can sign in to my Google account without problem.

And its even better with the Extended Kernel Project + CFF Explorer. No reason to upgrade at all
Edit: what the Extended Kernel does is that there is modified Vista dll files to have compatibility for newer programs meaning you can install modern web browsers (even the latest for some) and for the CFF Explorer, its where you modify the program properties (not the ones showed in Windows) like the actual properties of the program to make it work with Vista

Google Chrome 50 is the final version that runs on Vista, not version 26.

The extended kernel for Vista makes some things more better (sorry for my Engrish comment, I'm from the US)
