"Parents Never Understand" has taken on an entirely new meaning with the upcoming 'Generation Z.' This generation is the first of truly 'digital natives' - meaning many of these kids grew up with iPads in their hands. This talk prepares listeners for engaging this truly unique cohort of children.

No gen z uses Facebook unless you need an account to sign into some website and even then no one uses their account

why are 1999/2000 kids who are 18/19 already and also part of gen z always forgotten? why are gen zers literally looked at as small kids

"Lol" used to mean "laughing out loud", now it means "this message is not meant to be passive agressive or rude, I just don't have the social skills to articulate my message in such a manor"

It’s crazy how people call Gen Z a “failed generation”. Most of us haven’t even been alive long enough to fail yet😂

Ok, so I'm assuming that "quiz game" was Kahoot. That kid didnt "hack" the game either. He just used a bot website and entered the code. It probably took him 5 minutes to figure it out.

"The average teenager consumes 9 hours of media per day"
Me during quarintine: ...Sure. Let's say that.

What they don’t realise is how much we’re open to learn about online, of course they assume we’re playing games lmao

most of us who were born in gen z are capable teenagers who aren’t clueless so i think we’re the most qualified for understanding gen z. we know about the technology that was used before apple products, we’re not all the seven year olds he used as an example

say “mood” and “same” to anything that is depressing

I honestly thought he was going to tell the audience the meanings of words/phrases like “oof, ” “Weird flex but ok, ” or “it do be like that sometimes”

Anyone else hate the term iGen? It’s like, there’s always the misconception that it’s always about the internet and it’s simply not true. We’re just the generation that’s had access to it from birth.

If you want to help us I'd recommend starting with America's education system. It feels like we aren't learning anything that we'll ever use and what we will need to use isn't being taught to us.
