Only problem is if its a well timed jab you need to be twice as good to avoid it

Parry with the left hand, and throw the straight right. If you parry with the right hand, the chances of getting in with the straight right is slim.

Listen! If you can parry-counter aka ‘split’ your opponent’s jab, it’s going to be a quick fight! Next countering option is the hook off the jab/check-hook-hook. But splitting the jab makes fast work! Parry(w left)-straight-hook/check hook is AWESOME w southpaws!!! They never catch that fade ….clockwork every time. I don’t care if you’re Chris Byrd!!!

Iam about to become a instructor in karate. Iam from a classical school.In my opinion if anyone in my school tries to us what we teach in a fight they will get their ass kicked.
