I'm a bit addicted to these "I bought a cheap..." videos now

My local MOT place had an old 406 Estate as a courtesy car. It was great. But people would just keep on to it to do runs to the tip or pick up stuff from B&Q. It was really popular with people in all sorts of trades. But the garage owner got a bit tired of people just cluttering up his space with their vehicles and not bringing the courtesy car back. So he swapped it for a pink KA with purple flowers on.

Damn, the interior was an absolute war crime.

Glad there's a decent outcome at the end there, you make a bit of profit and it goes to someone who will also make a profit. Keep up the vids, really making me tempted in starting up buying and selling cars as I've been working at a garage for over 5 years now and more than happy to buy and sell old knackers and turn them into decent motors that are reliable.

Always a pleasure to watch because the transformation on some of these cars are amazing! Thanks Matt.

Love the gap between the instrument cluster and the dash. Proper Vauxhall quality.

You need to carry a supply of the polythene seat covers that mechanics use but in your case to protect your clothing from the upholstery.

Mat. I laughed out loud with your ranting about the quality sub optimal parcel shelf micro-repair Lol. I’ve had 8k plus cars in 18 years and haven’t had that. Even !!! And I’ve had some sheds like we all have !!!! Quality content. Sheds so much more watchable YT

That spanner in car light is just the Vauxhall light to tell you t’s overdue a service.

Definitely a nice little earner for the repairman guy! It was decent of Matt to advertise the car valeters, as compensation for taking on such a mucky job.

My sister had one of these since new, and after being reliable for some years, all of the suddenly was hit with high repairs. Timing chain stretched, Oil pump replaced, and clogged EGR. Even having low millage it need to replace the turbo, besides an anormal oil consumption. Also terrible residual value, with huge depreciation. Next time she gonna go with Japanese. Once going Japanese, you never go back.

Definitely done the right thing. Even the dash speedo cluster looks like it's been off and not been fitted back properly. Looks like it's been messed with good and proper.

Great stuff Matt. Thoroughly entertaining and informative. Love the parcel shelf and paint repair! Before work I’ll watch one of your videos as they’re actually addictive.

Never had you pegged as a "Stoney" fan Matt, wonders never cease. Even matching them to the car colour now

The 'home made' repairs are brilliant!

The laugh as you discovered the DIY Job on the parcel shelf 😂😂😂

At the start of each video I’m always rooting for that happy ending/golden goose of a find.

But I’d be lying if I didn’t say I find your dismissive nature of the condition the car has been left in articulately superb! 👏👏👏

Top work again Matt 🙌

Definitely a fleet car, maybe even ex PCSO, there is a driver fob scanner behind the ignition, I’d assume the dash is falling to bits from when it was defleeted and all the kit was removed, would also explain why the door seal is a mess from police belts

I love you and love the content you present. Your disposition of common sense in your approach for situations that you must sort out is commendable and says a lot about your business ethics and integrity. It makes me wish someone like you with a car lot was here in SF Bay Area, as someone who also buys cars, sells them as the novelty where’s off, it would give great peace of mind knowing the true effort the dealership business owner, someone like yourself makes to ensure the cars he offers are indeed pre conditioned properly and in good faith. The people fortunate enough to be in the area of Great Britain in which you serve, should be thankful you have such high standard of quality of his own person feet of cars in his home garage, are not at all unlike the fleet of cars he offers for sale in the dealership garage he owns and operates.
