I heard one guy say there are two kinds of happy. There's the "we are going to Chuck E Cheese" happy and "I just survived a knife fight" happy. Having never driven a GT-40 I'd say it was somewhere closer to the second kind of happy.

Was lucky enough to be sat in the same seat in a British Ford gt40 when I was a kid and the driver went through the gears like that. Still makes my hairs stand up thinking of it. Like being plugged into the electric.

As a Ford GT myself I can say that my Brother spittin some facts.

The first versions had 270s Ford Cosworths. The second version had 289s. They all broke at LeMans is 1965. The mk2 in 66 had 427s. Crossed the finish line 1, 2, 3. The mk4 also had 427s. Lived through it.
