Ferrari responded to their loss at Le Mans by winning the next race after that in which both appeared in, the 24 Hours of Daytona the following year, being Ford's home territory. They finished the race by claiming all three podium spots. Toward the end, at the request of management, the three leaders grouped and cross the finish line together in the same fashion as the Fords at Le Mans. The following year, without Ford and Ferrari as contenders due to rule changes, Porsche repeated the same parade celebrations when they won at Daytona. It is now uncommon for teams to order drivers to hold celebration laps at the closing hour of an endurance race.

This movie gets two things extremely right:

1. The art and skill of man and machine coming together to accomplish a task

2. The absolute joy of high-speed racing

"There's a point at 7, 000 RPM... where everything fades. The machine becomes weightless. Just disappears. And all that's left is a body moving through space and time. 7, 000 RPM. That's where you meet it. You feel it coming. It creeps up on you, close in your ear. Asks you a question. The only question that matters. Who are you?"-Carroll Shelby

This movie was so perfectly made it got non-racing fans to fall in love with it. All of the race and testing scenes feel like action-adventure scenes with how impactful they are.

Enzo’s “Bellisimo” can be interpreted in various ways.

1. He called the ford factories ugly so he can’t believe they built a car that beat them.
2. The car itself beautiful
3. Ken Miles driving that day was “bellísimo” and he can’t help to be in awe at that monster in the hands of Ken.

The difference between Ford and Ferrari.

Ken Miles sets another record, driving an almost perfect lap in one of the greatest racecars the world has ever seen in the world's most prestigious sports car race.

Over in the Ford garage, the executives are pissed that he's ruining their photo-op for marketing purposes.

Over in the Ferrari garage, old man Enzo can't help but look over to a subordinate and remark, "Bellissimo."

In the beginning of the movie, Iacocca mentions that Ferrari has gone almost bankrupt trying to chase perfection. That line has more meaning when Ken Miles achieves the “perfect lap”. Enzo then salutes him, knowing Ken has achieved something greater than 1st place at LeMans, which eluded him.

This movie made me appreciate the late Shelby even more. I already idolised him as a pioneer in the American automotive industry. But what got me is the way he always stood by Ken's side against Ford's corporate greed. Absolute legends ❤

Enzo’s “bellisimo” is the essence of sportsmanship. After all the animosity, what was said, and what was done, if you truly love your sport, you can’t refrain from being in awe and salute when greatness occurs, regardless if greatness comes from your team, or your worse enemy.

I think the best thing about Ford v Ferrari is that Ken Miles finally gets the recognition he deserved and never had in life.
