George Kamel is a personal finance expert and co-host of The Ramsey Show. Following Ramsey’s proven money plan, George went from negative net worth to a millionaire in under 10 years. His goal is to help people spend less, save more, and avoid money traps so they can live a life with more margin, options and freedom.

This channel will simplify complex money topics, bust money myths with actual facts, and debunk the stupid financial advice you're seeing in your social media feed. All with a healthy dose of pop culture, humor, and snark.

I think George is the future of the Ramsey brand. Allocating resources to repackaging the Ramsey teachings into something more engaging and visually impressive will give Ramsey a broader audience and at the end of the day enable more people to achieve financial freedom. Appreciate this new endeavor George, keep it going!

Sorry George you Need to redo this video with Rachel Cruze! Because moms know all the hacks.
1. Pack granola bars ( do NOT pay for airport granola bars).
2. Pack lots of snacks
3. Eat free food at the hotel if available
4. Google the rules of the places you are going to (If you can take your own PBJ inside Disney do it, this will save you $200 in food expenses)
5. If you are staying at a place with a washer and dryer you can save money on luggage by packing a small ziplock bag of laundry detergent.
6. If you are renting a house you can cook some of your own food at the place you are visiting to save on restaurant fees.
7. Make a packing list. A lot of my expenses throughout the years have been having to buy more sunscreen, deodorant, swimsuits because somebody forgot theirs from last year didn't fit. And sometimes we are in places where those things are expensive.

Read the fine print in the discount airlines bag policy. Frontier Airlines will hit you with a $99 charge at the gate if your carry on item is larger than the dimensions that they allow. And the gate agents get $10 of that so they're always looking for people with bags that won't fit their dimensions. and there's not much you can do at that point because you don't want to miss your flight. It happened to me once with a briefcase that I've carried on countless flights before which easily fits under the seat in front of me.

I skip on the rental car expense anytime I can choose a hotel with free shuttle service to and from the airport. Then I plan all my adventures to be walking distance from the hotel. I walk a lot anyway.

Hostels in Europe are at least 1/4 cheaper than hotels. Plus you get to meet more people.

I would never rent out my personal car to strangers. Most people have car payments. If they wreck your car it’s a hassle. Also if you don’t tell your insurance company you renting out your car as a side hustle they might not cover or r reimburse your claim. They normally don’t like you using your car for business without paying extra premium. DONT DO IT

Shoulder season sounds like the time just outside of the busy summer season, before and after. Shoulder (April-May) Body (June-August) Shoulder (September-October)

I love the packing cubes, game changer for packing. Yessss, on the hotel coffee makers. We stayed in one and the coffee maker was in the bathroom. Needless to say, we didn't use the coffee maker.

I do birthday freebies, too.. I prioritize the ones that can only be used on my birthday. The rest, I prioritize by expiration. No way I could eat all that in one day. I love the ones that give you a year, even a month.

Every wonder why CC companies reward you with flyer miles? Because people tend to spend 20-30% more when on vacation or on business travel

When you search you definitely have to clear your cookies or search in incognito mode so its not tracked. Also, southwest if you search for 1 ticket versus multiple, more often than not, the individual one is cheaper. Also keep checking rates because if they go down within 24 hours you get cash. If more than 24 hours you get travel credit.

Watch out with turo it’s very state to state if your car insurance covers a turo since it’s not classified as a rental rather a vehicle sharing program.

@4:57, that is simply a byproduct of the "rightyness" of humans. We tend to write with our right hands, drive on the right side of the road, the dominant eye tends to be on the right, etc

Your employer may have travel discount codes as a employee benefit but HR is terrible at telling people about them. Check with your HR department and if they have one it can save big bucks. Mine for example knocked about $500 off our most recent vacation week long car rental.

Also Skiplagged is another great one for flights.
