How to Make Panda Onigiri
Japanese KitKats

Curry Rice
2 carrots, cut in 1" pieces
2 medium, yellow onions, sliced 1/2"
2 medium, potatoes, 1"-11/2" cubes
2 chicken breasts, or 3 boneless, chicken thighs
1 1/2 - 2 C. water
4 small blocks, curry roux
1 T. plain yogurt (optional)

Cut chicken into 1" cubes. For extra tenderness, marinate chicken in 1 T. of yogurt for 30 min. before cooking. Cut vegetables into 1" cubes. Slice onions. In a pot on medium heat add 1-2 T of olive oil, add vegetables and sweat them for a couple of minutes. Add the chicken, mix well, there's no need to brown anything. Add water until it comes to the level of the meat & vegetables. Simmer 15 minutes or until a fork easily pierces the carrots and potatoes. Add more water if needed. Stir in curry blocks, when dissolved, simmer an additional 5 minutes or until the gravy is thickened. Serve with with rice. Serves 6.

Thank you sooo much for introducing me to this! My boyfriend and I eat this all the time for dinner. Super easy, delicious meal and we try to find a different kind to try every time!

I was nervous to make it for him at first, cause he's extremely picky and normally hates curries but he loves it as much as I do.

Emmy, I loved this video. My mom's family is from Guam, which has an enormous Japanese population. As such, there are a lot of Japanese-Guamanian crossovers, and this is definitely one of them! My mom even uses the same curry cubes. Now that I live on my own, I cook a lot of these foods, most recently I tried making Thai coconut curry. Yum!!!

I do a Thai curry with either red or green Thai curry paste with coconut milk in the can mixed bell peppers red green yellow orange slice into strips one big onion roughly cut peanuts and white or red potatoes and chicken boneless thighs or breasts and dried Thai chilies it comes out really good

I was introduced to this when I lived in Japan 30 years ago! Loved it! My family eats this now about two or three times a month. LOVE IT. But we make it vegan. SO GOOD!

I am hapa Japanese and karee has always been a staple in my house. I love putting beni shouga and sriracha on top. Such a comforting dish!

I use the same curry block brand. Vermont Curry is another brand we've used in the past (it's Japanese, don't know why its called that). 

Japanese curry is a favorite of mine, with rice or noodles. The version I learned from my mom is pretty much the same as yours.

YES! My mom gave me the golden curry packets last year when I moved from Hong Kong to university in the UK and I still haven't used them because I just didn't really know how (then I kinda just forgot about them)! thank you so much for this, definitely making them tomorrow, it's so simple and I am in love with japanese curry! will definitely be 1000x better then some of the horrible student meals i've been cooking recently :) will probably have to check the expiry date first though haha

Finally found the Golden Curry seasoning. :) This is yummy. The wife prefers it with no potatoes so we added broccoli. It rocked. Thanks Emmy.

This is identical to how we have made curry for years and years. One nice addition is adding a chopped apple. It adds just a touch of sweetness that is really delicious.

Beef curry with carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, and celery.My favorite because this is very popular in Hawaii where i grew up until high school.Did the same with chicken also and very good...
