This is the only cookbook I want as an audio book narrated by Dylan.

Dylan making himself laugh hard enough that he drops an entire uncracked egg into his mixing bowl is exactly what I needed lol

My relationship with these videos has gone from “this enthusiasm is annoying” to “this enthusiasm is essential”.

He's been cooking 20th century food for so long, he's adopted 20th century jewelry.

I just love that even Dylan seems surprised he released a cookbook. Fantastic work and love to see it.

I grew up with these cakes, Dylan. They were very fancy for the Midwest.
A three step cake that spent time in the fridge AND was topped with whipped cream instead of frosting!
And then...when you sliced it, it was multi-colored in a bright color alternating with yellow cake.
So since it was fancy and colorful with minimal effort, it was a pot luck favorite!
Glad you enjoyed it, Dylan!

The BEST Cookbook Announcement I've ever seen. Egg Shells and all.

Consider releasing a DVD because there's no way any transcript could capture what we love most about you!

If his cookbook doesn’t consistently refer to “moo juice, ” “eggies, ” and “floofers” throughout it, I don’t want it

My grandmother used to make this cake for birthdays... She's been gone now a few years now and this made me smile thinking about her. Thanks Dylan. :)

From the pearls to the earrings Dylan is slowly morphing into a 20th century house wife.

Dear lord, Mama and my Aunt Bobbie used to make these all the time. They, like most depression-era folks, followed a recipe as though it were holy writ. One day, my aunt didn't have the requisite flavors, so she made the pineapple cake mix she had, and finished with strawberry Jello.
Damnation, that was the best mix up ever!

Now all he needs is a TV show. He'd be incredible at it.

My mom made this for (I believe) my 7th or 8th birthday and inevitably for every birthday for the next 30ish yrs because....whatever her baby girl wanted, her baby girl got 🥰 Sometime early on, she switched to boxed yellow cake mix, but it didn't change the yummy of it. Thank you for making this video. My mom left this world 13 years ago and took my want for this cake with her. You, my dear seem to have found the most beautiful little seashell on the beach and tucked it into the palm of the hand of the little girl inside me.❤

I really really really hope his books lists ingredients as "moo juice", "eggies", and "sininim"

This was a very popular cake in the 1960's. I made this when I was in the 4th grade for a class party. I was very proud of it.
