Mazda6 GT SP Wagon 2021 Review @carsales.com.au

The Mazda6 GT SP wagon is fighting an uphill battle as Aussies fall under the spell of the look and raised ride height offered by SUVs.

But we reckon the trusty wagon still has much to offer and, for evidence, look no further than the Mazda6 GT SP wagon, which replaces the Mazda6 GT and scores a perky 170kW/420Nm 2.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.

Priced from $47,990 – just $1300 more than the sedan – this practical yet athletic Japanese wagon brings a premium fit and finish, top-notch refinement and an extensive equipment list including a host of sporty extras at an affordable price.

It’s no SUV, but hear us out!

I bought my Mazda 6 Atenza in September 2018 and still love it. Great car to drive around town but even better on long country roads.

Yes, I am more interested in this. I used to own a station wagon and it was the best vehicle I have owned. Superior vision and power. It was on old Ford Falcon.

If this thing had an AWD option it'd be a game changer... Even at the age of it in 2023.

So the space and versatility of an suv is better then a wagon? In what universe? Except for the patrols and land cruisers nearly all of these useless suv's are shorter and more cramped. Kind of like a little hatchback with a lift. The only reason people buy them is because marketing tells them to

Very rare car. One would be a brave shopper to purchase one over an SUV. Got think about the neighbours.

I have the Mazda 6 GT SP, but as sedan. While I like the car a lot and happy with its performance and reliability, I'm disappointed that there are a few additional features we don't get here that the North American market does (where it's known as the "Carbon Edition"). What we don't get as standard that they do is the rear lip/spoiler, sunroof, heated steering wheel, and cooled driver and front passenger seats. Not happy, Mazda Australia.

Was this a paid ad? No criticisms at all? Small 8” screen, no wireless charging, poor vision out the back window via the rear vision mirror, tyre noise? My observations on my recent test drive.
