The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
The series stars Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master, and also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. “Obi-Wan Kenobi” is directed by Deborah Chow and executive-produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor and Joby Harold. The series is set after the events of the film Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005), during which the Jedi Order was purged with Order 66 and Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi's apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, became the Sith Lord Darth Vader. I can see this as a season 3 plot, but not a season 2. Vader is not strong enough to go against his former master. Not yet. He will be vulnerable because of the last fight that he had with Obi-Wan but I believe in the second season both of them should be challenged. Vader can go against a threat to the empire outside of the Jedi, And Obi-Wan can find other Jedi in hiding like mace windu, and go against the worst of the inquisitors. It would also be sweet to see a team up between Obi-Wan and snips.
