Just installed the Fedora 36 cinnamon this past Friday and I am loving. It's become my content creation daily driver.

Brilliant video review again Jack. 👍I really thought my distro hopping had stopped but this looks to good not to give it a spin

Take one of your installations and run the following command

sudo dnf group list

What do you discover?

To install a spin, after installing a second spin, you just have to do sudo dnf group install "spin#2" "spin#3" ...

Jack you should show how to install btrfs on linuxmint. So many avoid it and actually it is super easy. Manual formatting is just 512 or 600 MB efi/boot and a root partition and set it to btrfs mint auto makes the sub volumes! Mount options can be changed after if one wants better preformence

Jack the new Garuda xfce lts on Nvidia is the bomb it actually works 100% only one issue and it isn't their issue and that is pamac is having issues again install yay and install the pamac that is actually working!

I'm looking forward to Fedora 36 in hopes I will gain my Canon printer back. One daily update along the way caused my computer and printer to no longer be speaking to each other, whereas it was working perfectly at one point.

Mr. Keifer, This is just an idea for a future video. I would like to see someone deep-dive into the new LXQt 1.1 vs LXDE. What would be the reasons to continue to use LXDE ? Where does each excel in 2022 ? What are some of the major problems with either ? Is there any reason to use either on a new computer ?

What would be the difference between using LXQt, and just configuring a KDE Plasma session to use less
resources ?

What are you giving up in LXQt vs. KDE in 2022 ?

Hey Jack! What wallpaper are you using? Or is that a wallpaper? I really like that textured blue background you use in your videos! I was hoping I could borrow that!

Jack I just taught the basics of vanilla arch to a 78 year old man that has never ever used a computer! 😂 However everything has an alias! up is sudo pacman -Syyu 😂 the way to teach someone computers is to never have them use windblown!

Jack's computer takes only 555MB of Memory during XFCE startup..But my computer is taking around 1.2GB of memory for the same Fedora 36 XFCE Spin..Is there any reason for that?

Fedora 35 in my view is the best they have ever created so far. This is my main driver after 4 years with Arch Linux. The question is will 36 be as good as Fedora35?

Did that done that only issue is Nvidia with fedora! With machines with more than one video driver Fedora just is not the thing for Nvidia now a days! Mint actually has Nvidia down as well if not better than Windows. And it is easy to install btrfs with time shift and application snapshots aka update snapshots. The sub volumes are made for you if using manual formatting with efi and a root partition. After you can go into your config to add the mnt options.
