The last time I did one of these long tutorials (half a year ago), I took a few days to complete it

I checked this video of yours because I remember doing gingerbread house material last year and kind of felt it's not close to realism yet. Well, I might give it another go this year if time allows and compare to yours, haha :D Think major change is Voronoi tex for Bump (height) node. I talk too much, lol, thanks for the video.

Already mid of November, so I want to make your gingerbread cookies for a Christmas picture or movie (with you nice gingerbread texture). I only want to add a little darker rim on some edges of the cookies as sometimes happen in the oven. I know how to do this in Photoshop on 1 picture, but is there also a way to solve this in Blender?

How would you randomize the outer edge of the "cookies"? IOW, less of a cookie cutter look and more of a hand made/pasted look?
