Making sourdough biscuits is a fun and easy snack that goes great with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. See below for the full recipe for the sourdough biscuits and as an added bonus, we've included the recipe for Honey Butter that goes great with the biscuits. Enjoy!
Sourdough Biscuits Recipe:
• 2 3/4 Cups of all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp Salt
• 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
• 1 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
-Preheat oven to 450 degrees F
-Mix ingredients with a whisk
-Cut whole stick of cold butter into small cubes and add to flour mixture
-Smash butter into the flour with a fork or pastry cutter (recommended) until butter is pea-sized. If butter warms up, chill before moving forward.
-Whisk into flour mixture:
• 1 1/2 Cups of sourdough starter
• 1/2 Cup of Milk a Tablespoon at a time
-Knead the mixture to combine all ingredients into a dough. Do not overwork.
-Roll out dough to 1 inch thick. Sprinkling flour on the counter surface will help the dough not stick
-Using a biscuit or cookie cutter, cut out biscuits
-Spray or Grease skillet and place biscuits into skillet.
-Place skillet in the oven for 18-20 minutes. (If cooking in RV oven, rotate skillet after 9-10 minutes.
-Let biscuits cool for 2 minutes
-Enjoy!
