Tim's ability to rattle off random strings of letters and numbers with complete ease never ceases to amaze me.

I have 3 monitors, and everyone I purchased was from your recommended videos. Thank you Tim.

I bought the AOC MiniLED almost at launch and honestly it's incredible how good it looks after some tunning, and those 1350 nits full screen are outstanding! best buy ever!

Got my 27GR83Q towards the end of last year for about $315 and have been very much enjoying it so far, especially now that I calibrated it a bit. Glad to see it's still on your list of recommendations.

What a weird list; LG 27GL850 and MSI G274QPF-QD were discontinued and replaced by LG 27GP850 and MSI 274QRFQD E2 long before this video, which creates unnecessary confusion for someone who knows very little about monitors and isn't in the loop. From what I gathered, LG 27GP850 and MSI 274QRFQD E2 were better than their predecessors, but now I'm unsure.

Would love to see ultrawide recommendations as well!

The AOC Q27G3XMN may be great, but it is 435€ in Germany so I said „Fck that, I‘m not paying 435€ for a monitor that is worth 280 USD“ and went for the LG 27GR83Q-B for 359€ which is 350 USD in the US.

I've been hanging on to my 27" 1440P 144hz for a while now and feeling like it might be time for a few more hz. Great timing. Cheers for the overview

The Cooler Master GP2712 should shake things up in the 1440p high refresh category. VA LCD, 240hz, 2034 zone miniled backlight and an MSRP of $549. It is slated to come out H2 2024.

I really wish the 32” 1440p segment wouldn’t fall off but we’re pretty much already there.

My eyesight isn’t impeccable and I don’t use my gaming monitor a foot or so from my face as I’m not at a conventional desk and I’m off axis a bit so curved isn’t an option. I’ve a/b tested 1440 & 4K displays in my setup and there isn’t much I’m gaining in fidelity but I’m certainly loosing FPS going with 4K.

I’m in a niche use case though, so I’m not upset that they’re not covered (at least in most videos). Just sad to see that segment withering where it can be a good choice for folks who don’t require 4K

For anyone who think you can't afford decent monitor. Go on the same video just for years 2021-2023 and look at your used market availability. I've snatched LG 27GP850-B in pristine condition for the price of brand new Koorui 24'' monitor and less than half price for AW2723DF (280Hz IPS) for 2/5th of the retail price, also with no defects or signs of use. You don't have to break the bank to get the latest thing, because top monitors from just last few years are popping up on used market right now for bargain prices. Just be patient :)

15:52 There is a minor mistake in the product placement . I think it is AOC Q27G3XMN , but in the link it is written as AOC G27G3XMN.. Man monitor naming is a mess .

Did you see RTINGS VRR Flickering problem from OLED and VA panels? Do you want to implement these tests for monitors?

To be honest, the 27 inch LG OLED is a great monitor, especially after the firmware update that essentially completely removed overshoot, made it literally sub 0.6%

LOL I have the AOC Q27G3XMN on my list of monitors that I found that I'm considering buying so it's good to see it recommended so high here.

Bought the AOC a few months ago and loving it so far.

Would love to see the Koorui GN10 1440p 240Hz VA mini-LED reviewed some day, if you can get a sample to Australia. It's been really cheap for its specs here in Europe where other HDR monitors are overpriced
