NEW Pick Block Button Added to Minecraft Pocket Edition

Mojang have started adding new buttons to Minecraft Pocket Edition here is everything you need to know!

Exciting news for Minecraft Pocket Edition players! The new Pick Block button has been added to the game, making gameplay even more convenient.

Pick block also should work in survival as well bc it does, if you have the item in your inventory it'll show up in the selected hotbar slot.

To clear up confusion with how pick block work in survival mode, it is not duplicating block out of nowhere. Pick block will only duplicate items that exist in your inventory. So imagine like this, you building with various of blocks that your hotbar cannot view it all, you want to pick let's say oak planks, just pick oak planks that you have placed in your build and it will instantly switch your mainhand item with oak planks in your inventory.

Honestly. If they really want to, they could add the change camera perspective right next to the emote button. Just 1 button that toggles from 1st person to 3rd person back and front. It's a fairly decent spot for such a button.

And regarding the actual touch controls, they could take inspiration from how Terraria does it's mobile controls. One of the few issue I have with Minecraft touch control is the lack of a touch deadzone option. I've had issues sometimes where if I double tap, it tends to shift the camera to where I'm tapping rather than what I actually want it to do.

Now, they should do this but with the off hand button that would work also

I’m still waiting for the f5 button. It’s ridiculous how they keep ignoring such an obvious and needed addition.

They should also add F5 and quick drop aswell for PVP

This could be the beginning of a new era for mcpe and mc bedrock in general, because this means that the devs could also add more buttons (off hand, shields, etc)

This exists also on Bedrock Edition for Survival when you connect a Controller or Keyboard! (Yes, you can do the exact same thing when you connect a Controller or Keyboard on your Phone or Tablet)

The thing I waited for 6 to 8 years is the f5 button and they added the most unhelpful button ever

In fact, if you are playing Minecraft BE or PE with a controller, you can copy the floor or creatures in your inventory in creative mode. In survival mode, when you have half of your blocks, you can press a button to put the blocks in your backpack into your hand (the key is that you have the blocks you want in your backpack).

Mojang acts braindead sometimes, Pick Block Functionality in Survival where you just get the item from your Inventory into your Hotbar, this exists already and they chose to remove the button in survival
