Pick Block Tutorial | Tips and Tricks for Minecraft Java

Just a quick tutorial on the pick block button being available in survival, not just creative. This is in Minecraft Java 1.20

For mobile/touch controls there is a new pick block button (looks like a + sign with a drop shadow box) that needs to be toggled on first before you use it. I don't play mobile though, so I don't know where it is but it does exist now.

On console it isn't bound by default to any button in particular, but you can set it to a button in Options

Another thing, which idk if it’s common knowledge or not
If you pick block while holding crtl, you also copy nbt data (creative only)
For example, if you did It on a chest with items in, then you’d get the chest in your inventory with the items still in it
Kinda like a shulker block, but a chest
This works for other stuff with nbt data (like signs or command blocks)
Does not work with block states
I don’t think it works on mobs
