Totally agree about "movies that are dark for the sake of being dark." I found myself working too hard to see what was on the screen.

I liked this one a lot more than most reviews would have me believe. I believe this one is the closest an afflicted character of wolf man or werewolf flicks comes to the character Lawrence Talbot from the OG 1931 The Wolf Man. Not being married or having any children myself, from the emphatic anguish I felt, someone who is, and/or has children, probably will be moved by this aspect of the film. It is a shame though we don't get much of a wolf man or showdown at the end. It is just a movie but its title suggests more of a creature feature than what shows up.
