Marc Bolan was an English singer, songwriter, and guitarist who is best known as the frontman of the glam rock band T. Rex. He was born in 1947 and started his music career in the 1960s with a band called John's Children. Bolan went on to form T. Rex in 1967 and became a key figure in the glam rock movement of the 1970s. He wrote and performed hits such as "Get It On," "Telegram Sam," and "Metal Guru." Bolan died in a car accident in 1977 at the age of 29, leaving behind a legacy as an influential and charismatic performer.
