The Real Reason Why Dragons Fear the Wall REVEALED! House of the Dragon

Why are dragons afraid of the wall? In the first episode of the second season of House of the Dragon, we could hear when Cregan Stark mentions to Jace that his father took King Jahaerys and Alysanne to the wall to witness it, and that the dragons feared crossing it. Whatever danger lay on the other side of the wall, the dragons sensed it. However, this raises two big questions. The first is, why do dragons fear what lies beyond the wall? And the second, how did Daenerys' dragons make it across?

In this video, we will be looking at this interesting topic, and what the books say about this event.

I think that once Bran was touched by the Night King the Wall lost its protection from the White Walkers.

The spell over the wall was broken by the time Daenerys traveled north.

Could it be that when the Night's King marked Bran's arm he changed the scheme of magic at the wall? Because it was said they were now connected.

I’m down with the Blacks just off of principle. The Hightowers stole the throne.

Team Rhaenrya. I believe she'd rule with compassion and a just rule.

D&D kinda forgot dragons cannot fly over the wall, that`s why :))

Team Rhaenrya. She is the only one who knows the prophecy and feels a duty to her father and family but also to the realm to help prevent the destruction of the world.

It was either the night king's touch or she flew around it by Eastwatch, or John's Blood demanded them to come help.

I would be on Team Rhaenyra because her father made her his legitimate heir, not in secret but proclaimed it to all the realms and those who promised fealty should honor his wishes & uphold their oath.

As for the dragons & the Wall, I think the Wall lost its “powers” when the comet happened, like demagnetizing or cancelling out.

The comet!!! I think the comet that was in the sky when Dany's dragons were born has something to do with it.

Wonder if Jon Snow going beyond the wall, him worshipping the old gods & pledging his NW vows beyond the wall to the old gods… Was there an actual pact of ice & fire? Maybe Stark blood + Targaryen blood? Then there’s also Bloodraven who was beyond the wall as 3ER (and grown into a weirwood tree). Plus Maester Aemon is on/at the wall too… Perhaps some or all of this has something to do with it? I mean dragons are bonded w Targaryens and/or Targaryen blood. Perhaps Targaryens being beyond the wall changed things? Perhaps Targaryens worshipping the old gods has something to do w it? Certainly magic has changed in GOT universe. In GOT they cannot read the runes, and much of history is lost or is legend (not 100% known). Also, the books and tv show are different… Will be interesting to see when/if WOW and future books are ever released - come on GRRM!!!! We want answers!

I think there’s something magical that keeps creatures away from. But when the knight king touched bran I think it made it so that the knight kind and her dragons were able to walk through 😊

I think it's the wall that had powers which prevented uncle Benjin from crossing with Bran and Meera so that same magic disturbed the dragon from crossing. Dany went to the wall probably from the same route Stannis did when he attacked Mance Raydar since they both went from Dragonstone and that route must be the shivering sea. Drogon and Dany must have easily gone to help Jon through the Shivering Sea and they didn't pass the wall which may have prevented Drogon from passing

Want to know why it doesn't make any sense? Because Dan and Dave decided to make things up without ANY true knowledge of Targareon or dragon history

The wall was magic and no dragon flew past before the night king tuched bran and stopped the spell from working

as far as the dragons not passing over the Wall, maybe the Night King had something to do with Dani and her dragons ability to cross the threshold. the Night King planned on it happening and was wanting to kill one if not both of her dragons, so he could resurrect them as additional weapons against the realm of man. just a thought...
