The Laver and the Washing and Anointing of Priests

Within the outer courtyard of the Tabernacle of Moses was the bronze laver. It was here at the laver where Aaron and his sons were washed, clothed, and anointed prior to becoming a priest. The laver was also used by the priests for daily ritual washing prior to serving at the Tabernacle. The washing at the laver can symbolize our need to be spiritually cleansed through the atonement of Jesus Christ.

God uses the number 3 lots. In Old Testament times there were beautiful and intricate rituals. The final ritual of the beloved Son was so ugly yet most beautiful. No more blood needed. Thank you LORD. Shalom

The laver had a basin below for feet and a basin above for hands. Jesus said he must wash our feet from walking in the world. The washed hands represent salvation. The washing of feet is done by God as sanctification daily to wash the effects of the world away.
