make a full tang knife handle - easy handle shaping!

I show you the steps involved to make a full tang knife handle - easy handle shaping! It is really easy to end up with a handle that doesn't have symmetry from side to side. My emphasis in this video is how to give yourself layout lines for shaping the handle material! Full tang knives are real popular for a reason, they are strong and durable but it takes some patients to get them right with smooth lines and not rounding over the spine while shaping the handle! This is knife making for beginners!

Cannot thank you enough for all the education and skills you share with us. Making these videos is time-consuming and tedious, but you do a great job!

This video has helped so much! It's hard to find videos that talk in detail about shaping and finishing full-tang handles like this. So much of the other content I see is either a very beginner approach to making a handle, or high level fit and finish on hidden tang knives. This is exactly what I've been looking for.

This is a throwback to when I started the channel! This was my 2nd video ever! Look how far the video editing, camera work, soundtrack edit, lighting, and overall shot composition has changed in the last year and 60 videos later! Thanks for sticking with me guys!

As always, great instruction. Love your meticulous attention to detail by sanding to equal thicknesses then layout with lines to define the shape. Thanks for the tips and tricks, always useful. 👍👍🤩 The handle looks great. God bless.

Despite this is one of your older videos, still pretty informative! Thanks for the great tips, going to use the one with tape on sand paper for sure!

Your film-making and editing skills have greatly improved, mate. Like you, I dig carbon fibre pins. I think they look awesome. Very strong and light, too.

I gotta get me a 2x72. This 1x30 is great and all, but it’s way under powered.

Awesome job, brother! 🇬🇧🤜🏻💥🤛🏻🇺🇸

Great information as always. Had a question about stabilized scales. If you are using very dry hardwood is it that necessary? Any knowledge on Minwax hardner? Thanks again.

Cool video! By chance do you have a link to the belt sander? It seemed to have a lot of possible configurations.

Good vid with helpful info thanks for that. Can I ask what grit belt and speed you run it at for shaping? I have burn issues which I assume is overheating due to wrong grit and speed.
