This is Varenichnaya №1 (Вареничная №1) cafe which is quite famous as a restaurant with strong Soviet nostalgia vibes. It is a chain of cafes with over 15 branches but the one in this video is the closest to the Red Square I believe with around 5min walk. Its location is Nikolskaya St. 11-13, Building 2, Moscow.

I still dont understand why people bash this guy for being in Russia and showing people what life is actually like there. It's like they hate it when people are happy.

They’re called Vareniki. In Poland they’re called Pierogi. Never “dumplings”.

Russian dumplings are very underrated. We got a spot on campus that serves them till 2 am.

That's not a true Soviet restaurant until it has a picture of Stalin or Lenin.

I’m an American just like him but I applaud him. He’s traveling the world, has a gorgeous girlfriend who just happens to be from Russia, he probably makes a pretty good living and he seems to enjoy it in Russia. I don’t blame him, he has nothing to do with the government or situation there so I support that. I don’t see it as propaganda or anything.

I love most Soviet food. The choices were limited back then but I loved all the dishes (heavy on various home-made soups, pelmeni, vareniki, various perizhki, home-made cakes, stuffed peppers and cabbage leaves, fried potatoes with mushrooms or salo, etc. 😋

You're accent is becoming slowly more Russian as you spend more time there. I've noticed how that occurs in people once they get integrated into a culture and it's really cool to hear how someone's accent can change based off of their surroundings.
