People have to understand... Robin Williams was afraid that by using his star power to promote the film that it would destroy the voice actor career and instead make Hollywood hire regular, popular actors as voice actors, even when a traditional voice actor would do a better job. And unfortunately, Williams was right.

Its so absolutely typical that someone like Robin Williams was the face of absolute integrity and the best idea Disney could come up with to make amends with him is to buy him off with a priceless artwork. Like most soulless corporations, they think anyone and everyone can be bought off with fabulous gifts or huge amounts of money, like they can.

Robin Williams was a perfect person to play the Genie I can’t imagine anyone else doing that roll doing the voice Robin Williams so deserved so much more than what he got he was an amazing actor I am so glad he did this part in this movie You will forever ♾ be missed so much Mr. Robin Williams I so love love love. The agreement was that the Genie would not take up more than 25% of the total area of things like posters. When the first posters came out, the genie only took up 25% of the space, but then the other characters were all shrunk down really tiny to keep.Genie as the focus. They even put Robin’s name up as top billing, and he certainly didn't ask for that. These things were all Katzenberg’s doing, so that’s why Robin only made amends after the douche was let go.
