I just started his Teaching Cooking I class Masterclass and l love it so far. I have been passionate about cooking since I was a kid. My mother graduated Culunary school back in the 70s. She retired from restaurant cooking when she & my dad adopted my two sisters and I in 1984. Life happens and after my husband of ten years died of a pulmonary embolism in 2012, I found myself homeless for a bit and then living in a motel room for almost a year. I had a tiny dorm sized fridge with the smallest freezer ever. I bought myself an $10 electric single burner and I made it work! Now at 43 I am remarried, we have an eleven-year-old son ( we adopted him when he was 4.5 years old) and I save every penny I might spend in clothes for myself, for good kitchen equipment!

What a coincidence! Just the other day in return for attending a class in cooking ethnic cuisine after I got free food after signing up for what is called community kitchen. I got to learn how to make a Cajun recipe and it was delicious. I thought Cajun cooking was a lot more spicy than say Mediterranean cuisine but that recipe for chicken wasn't spicy as I expected. I like spicy food best.
