As an Indonesian military enthusiast, I often search up about Malaysian military hardware and I kinda like this corvette. The design clearly shows that this ship was meant to execute a hit and run operation. 3 missiles compartments facing forward would be used as it approached the enemy and the ship would turn around to fire the last three missiles facing backward while running away with its 35 knot speed. The anti air missiles and cannons are placed in such way it could deny any retaliation while this ship is escaping. What a design. Imagine bringing 4 of this ship and managed to spam all the missiles to the enemy. Small ships with massive firepower

small in size, but big in destructive power, great ship 🦾

A decent corvette but it is only for coastal defense. Both the ASW and the anti ship capabilities are of limited range. In a combination fleet or coastal defense it will do fine.

IIRC, the Otomats were removed due to old age, so now they're more on as patrol corvettes.

Also, does this mean the Otomats were actually just the mk1? Not the mk2 circulating in the internet?

What is the range of Mk2?
120km? 180? Or same as the original 60km?

Most Malaysian Navy ships are quite weak in Air Defenses.. their air defense is often very short range, under 32km in range and also not a lot..
